The enterprise technologies architecture support all application
system architecture in the enterprise. Instead of a waterfall
approach to wait for the enterprise wide application design, an
enterprise should establish a standard sets of standard architecture
patterns as the service to support multiple application
systems. Application developers adopt the
proper architecture pattern from the standard architecture pattern
rather than specify their own system architecture. The enterprise technical
reference model (TRM) can be established based on the technology
requirements from the architecture patterns. Enterprise
architecture is not all about standards. An enterprise
must also establish the enterprise support of requirement management, document library, configuration
management, design tools, reuse library and testing lab.
